  1. TYMBA National Contest November 09

Well we now know what it feels like to finish last in a National Competition. NOT GOOD!
However, let's not be downhearted we will just have to work a lot lot harder next year. 100% attendance next Thursday please as we have to rehearse for the concert and the xmas bookings.

  4. Manchester TYMBA Contest

Well done to you all for the performance yesterday - third place - a great result considering how rehearsals have been going lately. I was very impressed with the way in which you approached the day and your general attitude throughout. We received lots of good comments on our performance and a great result in winning the Overall General Musical Effect, so we must have played better than we thought!
Now onto the TYMBA National Finals - 22nd November - but we are going to have to put in some very hard work if we are to stand any chance of winning trophies there - so I need your very best attitude and 100% attendance at every rehearsal.

  5. Manchester Concert Band Contest

I would just like to say what a great job the thirteen members of the band did when we played at the Concert Band Concert on Saturday (10th October)
Not only did we achieve a Gold Award with Distinction but we played well enough to be declared contest winners.
Another proud day for the band. I am sure that 3rd Davyhulme will continue to run this contest and I am sure that next year our younger members will have improved enough to be able to take a bigger band.
    Well done to you all.
