What a great and successful day we have had.
Richard (Euphonium) and James (Flute) both won their sections and Vickie was joint runner up in her section. Amber and Becky both gained third places.
Congratulations to them all and to Helena and Gareth who supported them at the contest.
Maybe we can take more next year.
I would just like to say a massive THANK YOU to all of you for the way in which you approached the hard work over the weekend. Obviously at times you would not have wished to be told "Do it again" - but no moans, no complaints - only hard work. A pleasure to spend time with you over the weekend - what a great bunch of people!!!

Last evening we tried to hold a contest routine rehearsal with 12 members of the contest band. I know people are away on holiday until various dates in August but come September I will be organising a weekend away and contest routine rehearsals will be on Thursdays. I will expect 100% attendance at these sessions unless give me a very good reason for not being there.
If you want to do well at Manchester and the Tymba National Finals then you have to give commitment.
