Rhyl Youth Marching Band

  1. RHUDDLAN CARNIVAL - 18TH JUNE 11

Thanks to all who turned out on yesterday for the carnival. Our first time at this one and I think you gave a good performance so we might be asked to the ones in the future. I was a little disappointed in the numbers because we need to take part in this type of event if we are to promote ourselves in the future.

Thank you to everyone who turned out to play for the learning difficulties forum. It was hot hot hot, and you all worked hard.

    • I would like to say thank you to all those that played at Ffrith Beach last Saturday. I think we put on a decent performance although the noise from the surrounding areas was a little loud and off-putting.
Next performance - NEXT SATURDAY 18th june - Be there!!

  4. A Passion For Music

Here is something that Gareth sent me some time ago. It's about time you all had a chance to see it. Apart from being very amusing, it also contains pearls of wisdom - so pay attention! I expect everyone in band to sit one-sided from now on...

  5. Their Dream: To Play And March In Time

If you like marching bands, you could do worse than to emulate this bunch! They are the 'Kongens Gardes' (King's Guard) from Norway.

Of course, this routine would never do for TYMBA because we know they don't like people firing blanks from guns (after we did it)! And I don't know what they would make of throwing rifles around with bayonets fixed...

I don't think I can post a live link here, so you'll have to copy the YouTube link and paste it into your browser manually:-

    • They are pretty good..... Some ideas for TYMBA 2011 (less the fire arms of course).

    • Or you can wait until I go into the database and turn it into a link. :-)
