Rhyl Youth Marching Band

  1. Advent Calendar 2025

It's nearly December and the recording for our advent calendar is under way.

Unfortunately, some of our things require a bit more practice, and some of us are sight-reading unfamiliar parts and playing not entirely familiar instruments as we fill in for the absence of unwell band members.

Get well soon folks, and in the meantime enjoy our mistakes :-)

  2. 'Tis nearly the season

Rhyl's Christmas light switch-on was on the 22nd, and we were there to provide a little musical entertainment.

This was our first Christmassy engagement this year but it won't be the last. This coming Saturday (the 29th of November), we are playing at the Sussex Street Christian Centre for their Christmas fair.

  3. Mayor's Civic Service

The band was proud to take part in Rhyl Mayor Alexander Walker's civic service at St. Thomas's Church today.

Alexander is a former band member in our clarinet section, and we wish him well.

  4. Duck Race, Dyserth

We will be appearing as usual at the Duck Race at Dyserth waterfall on the 24th of August. Come along and see us, pay for the ducks, and visit all the stalls.

If you miss the Rhyl Air Show on the August bank holiday weekend, this is the perfect replacement. :-)

  5. Carnivals

We will be appearing in the Rhyl Carnival parade this Sunday, the 6th of July, starting from near the Marine lake at 12:00 and finishing in the Coronation Gardens.

Then in a couple of weeks, on Saturday the 19th of July, we will be in the Prestatyn Carnival parade starting from the top of the High street at 12:00 and finishing at Bastion Gardens.

Come along to see us and all the other groups involved.
